20X TBE (Tris-Borate-EDTA) Buffer is a concentrated stock solution of a zwitterionic buffering system used for polyacrylamide and agarose gel electrophoresis. It is diluted 1:20 to a 1X working concentration of 90 mM Tris-Borate and 2 mM EDTA, prepared with 18.2 Ω water and adjusted to pH 8.1 ± 0.1 at 24°C, providing stable pH control and chelation to protect against nuclease degradation.
